I have a Dream

“A son and his father were walking on the mountains. Suddenly his son falls, hurts himself and screams. “AAhhhhh!!!” To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: “AAhhhhh!!!” curious, he yells: “Who are you?”

He receives the answer; “Who are you?” And then he screams to the mountain: “I admire you!” The voice answer: “I admire you!” Angered at the response, he screams: “Coward!” He receives the answer: “Coward!” He looks to his father and asks: “What’s going on?”

The father smiles and says: “My son, pay attention.” Again the man screams: “You are a Champion!” The voice answers: “You are a champion!” The boy is surprised, but does not understand.

        Then the father explains:

“People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your Team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life; Life will give you back everything you have given to it.”

If You Think You Have Failed

What is failure to a person depends on their thoughts. Many successful people are familiar with failure as they take them on as lessons to be learned in one’s life. You will not know success if you don’t know what failure is. The next time that you think you have failed and feel like giving up, then think of Abraham Lincoln.

Age 21    :  Failed in Business

Age 22   :  Defeated in a legislative race

Age 24   :  Failed again in business

Age 26  :  Overcame the death of his sweetheart

Age 27   :  Had a nervous breakdown

Age 34  :  Lost a congressional race

Age 45   : Lost a senatorial race

Age 47  :  Failed in an effort to become vice-President

Age 49   :  Lost another senatorial race

Age 52  :  Elected the president of the United States

The real FAILURE are those people that GIVE UP.

Success can’t be measured. It can not be defined. Every human being has some talent in him/her because God has created us with a purpose in life. We should hone those skills.

The Wolf and the shepherd

A wolf had been prowling around a flock of sheep for a long time, and the shepherd watched very anxiously to prevent him from carrying off a lamb. But the wolf did not try to do any harm.

Instead he seemed to be helping the shepherd take care of the sheep. At last the shepherd got so used to seeing the wolf about that he forgot how wicked he could be.

One day he even went so far as to leave his flock in the wolf’s care while he went on an errand. But when he came back and saw how many of the flock had been killed and carried off, he knew how foolish to trust a wolf as he exclaimed. “I have been rightly served; why did I trust my sheep to a wolf?”

The Moral: Delegate your task wisely and only to people you trust.

Keep renewing yourself

This prepares you to anticipate change and be ready for it when it comes. Constantly ask yourself what new skills and competencies will be needed. Begin working on them before it becomes necessary and you will have a natural advantage.

The greatest benefit of your education lies not only in what you have learnt, but in working how to learn. Formal education is the beginning of the journey of learning. Yet I do meet youngsters who feel that they have already learnt all there is to learn. You have to constantly learn about people and how to interact effectively with them.

In the world of tomorrow, only those individuals and organisations will succeed who have mastered the art of rapid and on-going learning.

Embrace Change

Many of us are frightened of change. We feel that it has negative connotations. When we see that the opposite is true. We can free ourselves.

If there is one thing that separates children from adults it is that children love change and adults tend to fear it or are at least apprehensive of it. Children are always excited by new things, and are always willing to experiment with stuff. This can be anything from inventing a new game out of nothing to going to new places   . Their lives are in a state of constant change and they experience wonder because of it but as we get older, we begin to lose this love of change and try to keep away from change as much as possible. We try to keep things the same in all areas of our lives and hardly ready to accept change in our life. This can be fine in some areas. But the worst thing is when we stop looking for new things altogether.

In short, we give up our dreams, or fail to make new ones that can motivate us to change ourselves.

Excellence

Become your biggest cheerleader

We are what we repeatedly do.

Excellence is not an act but a habit.

Become your biggest cheerleader of all the communication you do, none is more important than how you talk to yourself. Your internal dialogue has more to do with your success in life than any other factor.

Every minute you are awake, you engage in 800 to 1,200 words of self-dialogue. In these conversations, you solve problems (or create them), make decisions (or avoid them), judge, praise, or disparage yourself. You can dwell on past mistakes or plan future achievements.

Obviously, the more positive and forward-looking your talk, the stronger and better prepared you become.

In the computer world, the word GIGO means “ garbage in, garbage out.” Your mind works the same way. What you talk to yourself about directly affects how you live your life.
